Engineering Ambassadors is a science, technology, math and engineering (STEM) literacy initiative that is funded by SRC, an international engineering firm headquartered in Syracuse. Every week, Syracuse University volunteers go into local middle schools and work with students on a science experiment. They build roller coasters, drop eggs, design mechanical grabbers, and perform many other feats with the students. Along the way they teach them about notable scientists and engineering concepts. Seth Reed, outreach coordinator, explains the program in this video and reflects on how the middle school students impact him.
