As Transportation Coordinator, Laurel Morton (VPA ’84)  supports the learning opportunities of Syracuse University students and helps ensure continued access to off campus experiential learning and community partnership opportunities. She has instructed within VPA’s Design School since 1997 and has a passion for students.   As a fashion design faculty member, she pursued community partnerships and collaborations whenever possible most notably with a Partnership for Better Education course where Syracuse University and SCSD high school and middle school students learned together to better understand the global challenges of textile recycling. During her college years at Syracuse University Laurel herself experienced off campus collaboration at one of the current Shaw Center Boys and Girls club site locations and believes firmly that integrated on and off campus learning opportunities enrich lives.
